Clarification Regarding Annual Increment in Case of Fresh Appointment Through Proper Channel

Upon the request of the office of Accountant General Punjab, the Government of the Punjab, Finance Department has issued detailed instruction regarding grant of Annual Increment to those employees who are appointed through proper channel in the same scale. Details are as under:

The case has been examined. Finance Department observes that Mr Adnan Ahmad was appointed as Junior Clerk (BS-11) In the LHC Lahore through proper channel and his pay was protected under Rule 4.4 of the CSR Volume-I, Part-I. As such, he is also entitled annual increment in the same Scale on his fresh appointment In BS-11 under the provision of Rule 7 of Pay Revision Rules, 1977, which clearly states that the increment in the Revised National Pay Scales shall fall due on the 1st day of December following the completion of at least six months service at a stage in the relevant National Pay Scale
